World Vegan Vision invited Wayne Hsiung who is the co-founder of Direct Action Everywhere and The Simple Heart nonprofits and is a renowned animal rights acitvist for an ispriring presentation on the topic of the Smithfield Trial in Utah in which Wayne was acquitted of all charges resulting from his rescue of 2 sick piglets from the largest pig factory operation in Utah.
The event was held at Plant Base which is a vegan no waste restaurant, offers a unique event space and hosts a vegan community fridge for the local population in a food desert area in Jersey City NJ.
Nearly 45 pre-registered guests packed the venue to full capacity and Wayne enthralled the audience with his inspiring account of the rescue and the trial.
