2023 Miscellaneous Events

December

At BAPS in Clifton NJ

Dr. Kalindi Bakshi delivered the below presentation to a ladies-only audience at an event organized by BAPS charities. The presentation was a historic first for World Vegan Vision as it was organized at a temple as an official temple-sponsored program. We will continue our efforts to break down the barriers at Hindu temples against veganism.

Read more and view photos of this event at the BAPS Charities website here.  While doing so, we also found that Dr. Shrenik Shah, now our medical director at World Vegan Vision had already lectured on a related topic at this same venue back in 2014 even before he joined World Vegan Vision in 2018.

World Vegan Vision-NJ

World Vegan Vision – NJ participated in the NY Mayor’s Diwali Celebration on Oct 17, 2023 at the Gracie Mansion in NYC. World Vegan Vision contributed vegan Indian sweets to the event. Unfortunately, it was not an all vegan event due to vegetarian foods contributed by other sponsors at the event as desired by some members of the public, We hope that the mayor will make such events 100% vegan in conformance to his values and choose to hurt a few people’s feelings over hurting the voiceless animals.

Here is an album with all the photos.
