Are you a Hindu who visits a temple and performs or participates in religious rituals that involve the use of dairy products like Ghee, milk, yogurt, sweets made from milk?
Are you a temple administrator or a priest or a sponsor of religious events at or outside temples, e.g. Ganesh Chaturthi, Ram Navami, Maha Shivaratri, Diwali, Navaratri, etc. where dairy products are used?
The Hindu religion considers a cow as a sacred animal and an important part of the Hindu culture. Harming cows is not condoned in the Hindu culture. Yet, a large number of Hindus participate without their knowledge or knowlingly in the use of dairy that results in extreme cruelty to cows from their birth to death. This cruelty is inflicted by the dairy producers as a standard practice to produce milk profitably without any regard to the comfort and wellbeing of the animals. All dairy animals, cows, buffalos, sheep, goats, camels, yaks, and more are subjected to the same or similar practices. Male offspring of the dairy animals are separated within minutes of their birth from their mothers and killed in a few hours to a few days or raised for veal or beef. Older cows are killed prematurely when they stop producing sufficient milk to be profitable.
When you worship God in a temple using such dairy, you are not likely to get any desired benefit of your religious devotion or dedication. You are directly participating in a genocide of cows and other dairy animals. So, if you are a Hindu we request you to seriously consider making your temple or event free of any dairy products. There is ample evidence of what is stated above. If you are not convinced just watch the below videos as a small sample of the evidence.
